"When Jesus said, 'Love your enemies,' he meant that we should do it."
"You can trust God in spite of the fact that the world isn't perfect."
"You can be happy even when life doesn't turn out the way you expect."

These are some of the themes of my writing, which deals realistically with the experiences of suffering, faith, and spriritual formation.

But the most fun I've ever had as a writer was writing a syndicated column for several years, and have contributed to a number of periodicals including Focus on the Family magazine, Holiness Today, and Wesleyan Life.

I'm fortunate that my publisher was excited enough about my message to produce DVD teaching resources to accompany two of my books. I've recorded six small-group teaching sessions each for When Life and Why Me. My wife, Heather Gemmen Wilson, teaches with me in the When Life series.
